I- FACING YOUTH UNEMPLOYMENT

“Facing Youth Unemployment from its very beginning” project is part of the Comenius Regio Partnership.

The partnership is composed of three Local Authorities, five secondary schools, two charities and one Economic Development Agency.

The project focuses on creating an Education support model for young people with vital routes and attitudes that are predicting unemployment and preventing them to become NEETS.

The total budget for this project is €60,000 co-funded by the Lifelong learning programme.

The project started August 2013 up to July 2015.

II- EU TRADING FOR CRAFT BUSINESSES

“Easy move for Smes” project is part of the Leonardo da Vinci Partnership.

The project is coordinated by the Chamber of Trade from Caen (FR) in partnership with Portsmouth City Council (EN), the Chamber of Trade from Vaucluse (FR) and the Chamber of Trade from Wiesbaden (GE).

The project aims at creating an EU network of partners favouring a suitable environment to facilitate conditions for hosting and sending entrepreneurs in trade companies. This will enable craft people to get the opportunity to develop their professional skills, will help them to innovate, extending their market, and recruit. The partnership will develop and adapt methods and tools to support mobility for Smes owners.

The total budget for this project is €64,000 co-funded by the Lifelong learning programme.

The project started in August 2013 and will run up to the July 2015.

A.I.M.E.R Project: “Achieving the Integration of Migrant communities and Ethnic Residents“.

The project focused on the challenge facing local authorities and community organisations in integrating newly arrived migrants and ethnic minority communities in the UK, France and Flanders.

Aimer2Three major activities responded to the needs of migrants and ethnic minority communities, as well as offering support to the host communities:

  • Activity 1: welcome and integration of new comers and ethnic minority communities
  • Activity 2: legal and cultural mediation
  • Activity 3: capacity building

This €2,5 M project was approved in November 2009 and ended in December 2012.

“Unleash your creativity project”: A programme of workshops to help people move towards work

This project is coordinating by the Art House CIC, a community run non-profit arts
organisation in Southampton (UK). It offers a programme of skill and confidence-boosting workshops to any adult, 19 or older, who is currently economically inactive. This is funded by the European Social Fund, the European Union’s main financial instrument for investing in people. The ESF supports employment, helps people enhance their education and skills and improves job prospects.

This programme consists of thirty-two-hour workshops starting Tuesday 7th October 2014 and finishing 12th March 2015, with three creative strands for developing your skills and confidence; creative writing / spoken word, theatre improvisation and creative living, through art, music and personal exploration.
